Volunteer Opportunities

Hello Chapter Presidents and President Elects!

I"m asking your assistance with a national project of STTI President Dan Pesut. Dan is committed to assisting chapters and regions in identifying individuals who are interested in getting involved in STTI at all levels! He has designed and developed a VIP Profile survey to query members as to their interests and individual skills and talents. Reports can be generated indicating the names and contact numbers of individuals interested in various areas - such as - running for office, helping with fundraising, chapter finances, bylaws, programming, offering to do presentations, assisting with membership, and the list goes on!! As you can see, this survey has immediate rewards at the chapter level and regional level. A print out would be available identifying interested individuals who want to be involved!!

I'm asking each of you to publicize this website ( http://www.nursingsociety.org/VIP ) in your meetings, spring programs, newsletters and websites, and actively encourage every member to complete their VIP Profile on the web as soon as possible. It takes approximately 5 minutes to do and will be of great support to the chapter and Region 2! We have a completion going between the regions and I'd like to highlight Region 2 as a major leader in this project. The current standings are below.  Thank you for your help and I hope each of your board members and committee members will complete the survey. Thank you for your support and I'll keep you informed of our standing!  VIP Profile Invitation -(Word Format) VIP Profile Invitation -(PDF Format)

Sincerely, Roxanne Moutafis, Region 2 Coordinator

The Nurse Patch Program
more about the program

The Girl Scout Nurse Patch Program offers a wonderful opportunity to build professional and community partnerships with the collaborative purposes to empower young people in
leading healthy lives while exploring a career in nursing. Through the leadership of the University of Arizona’s Beta Mu Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Honor Society of Nursing and Tucson’s Nurse Executives, local nursing organizations and
the Sahuaro Girl Scouts Council have worked together and established an on-going program that promotes healthy lifestyles and enlightens our young leaders to the exciting and diverse profession of nursing. Tucson’s nursing community is proud to share our experiences and encourage other nursing communities to create a Nurse Patch Program in your area.
