The Lock Poker scandal is still in full swing. You would think that cancelling hundreds of payouts would speed up the other withdrawals but this is not what happened. Earlier this month I reported on the Lock Poker payout scandal. Lock Poker basically cancelled the pending payouts for thousands of mid and high stakes poker players. They said that they did it because of a conspiracy to bring down the value of Lock Poker money. It really doesn’t make any sense but they needed some kind of reason to essentially steal people’s money. By cancelling all of these cashouts they are tipping their hand in a way. Before I could only speculate that Lock Poker was out of money. Now we know beyond any doubt that that Lock Poker is bankrupt. Visit any Lock Poker payout thread at an online poker forum and you will read about people who have been waiting for 16 weeks for a Western Union payout. This September 2013 Lock Poker payout report will cover how long it takes for people to receive their cashouts based on what players are saying at Lock Poker withdrawal threads on forums like 2+2.
US payouts at Lock Poker are taking far longer than international payouts. Lock Poker processes payouts to players from the USA via Western Union. Western Union and Moneygram are the fastest US payout methods at every US poker room and US casino in 2013, except Lock Poker. Here are the current Western Union payout times at other US gambling sites in September, 2013. This will give you some perspective.
And here are Lock Poker’s Western Union payout times in September, 2013:
International players get paid at other online poker rooms in 2013 within a few hours using methods like Skrill. Lock Poker is currently taking 2-4 months for these payments that take minutes elsewhere. This is a sure sign that the end is near.
Why would Lock Poker cancel your withdrawal? Because they do not want to pay you or they are not able to pay you. Cancelling payouts gives them some breathing room. If a payout is taking 6+ months people will stop playing there and start spreading the word. If they cancel a payout after 3 months for some BS reason they are setting the clock back to zero. This means that they can not pay for several more months before people realize for a fact that they have been robbed. Lock Poker wants to keep everyone at the tables for as long as possible.
